We stayed at the Hyatt in March for 2 nights. The hotel is close to downtown Charlottesville and University of Virginia. Some highlights are listed below:The shopping area directly in front of Hyatt Place Charlottesville is The Shops at Stonefield. The hotel is actually located within that outdoor shopping and dining complex with many shops including Lululemon, Sephora, Pottery Barn, etc. my friend and I drove to MarieBette’s Cafe twice to have a nice breakfast (highly recommended). Our room was basic ( nothing outstanding). Breakfast was included in the price but did not appeal to us. I would recommend taking advantage of the local coffee shops in the area ( Grit Coffee and Marie Bette’s). Parking was free.Overall a decent stay, would look for another hotel if we are in the area.

Overall the rooms are nice and clean. There is not a restaurant or bar currently. There is an actual bar top and chairs but no bartenders and no menus only grab and go. Breakfast was fair same things each morning and the food was not temperature hot. Alex, the front desk attendant was kind.

An outstanding experience! Lovely location nestled in a pedestrian and dog friendly outdoor mall environment, near parks and trails. Fresh and clean property with on-site parking, laundry facilities, coffee/breakfast, outdoor patio space. Loved the little touches like cold water dispenser in the gym and soft gym towels!

They sold the room right out from under us after we had it booked. We arrived to see that we no longer had the room we had booked.

There was leftover food from a previous guest in the microwave, which immediately made us question the cleanliness of the room. We requested a new room, but although we originally booked a shared-room experience for our family, we did not receive that same setup after being moved. The situation was frustrating, but the customer service response made it worse. The attendant was barely apologetic and showed little compassion or concern for the inconvenience.We travel to Charlottesville often, but based on this experience, we will not be staying here again.
