For years I have driven through St Marys and thought about stopping here, but never quite got around to it. I thought it would be mostly records and information about Indian payments and Indian school that was here in the 1800s and was thinking of it as a research trip. Admittedly, there was some info about that, but so many other items. My guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the building and the St Mary's Mission, I felt like I could almost see the way it had been. The museum complex is 3 buildings and held many unusual items, nicely restored. This is a very well-kept museum. More people need to know about this place. I wonder if the people in this small town know what a jewel they have and how many of them have actually been here. There is no admission charge, but a donation box is available.
