There is much hype in Topeka concerning this light show. It's very average in my opinion. My biggest complaint is that arriving over 30 minutes early could get you the worst possible parking spot, very easily in fact. So, they fill up part of the front very first. Then they fill the very back row. This year, we were no more than 20 cars from the beginning and were parked as far back as possible. I couldn't see much being nearly a block away. But, people arriving 15 minutes after us were parked in the front. The parking system will disappoint if you arrive early expecting a good spot you just may be disappointed. The pastor gives a very short Salvation message. It isn't a clear or convincing message. It's kind of a Rick Warren, if you ask Jesus into your heart, welcome to the family message. It's not a we all need a Savior and here is why and/or a need for repentance message. This part of the review probably isn't relevant to the non-Christian just visiting the light show. But it is to those who want to see a lost world reached with the gospel. The lights are worth seeing.

The people were very welcoming when we e walked in. We visited when we were in town for a friend’s wedding. The service and small group Bible study were both very well grounded. Both the pastor and the small group leader referred to scripture as their main texts.

This is a very nice non-denominational church. Everyone is welcome. There are programs for children. I go sporadically and have always felt welcome.

Very welcoming, and the pastor had been there for 40 years. Has a depth of knowledge of the bible, and how to teach others about it that few possess.

Each year on one of the weekends in mid-December, Topeka Bible Church hosts a FREE indoor Christmas Light Show with live entertainers and musicians on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. I attended the dress rehearsal last night. The Christmas lights are synchronized with the live music played by musicians on platforms up to 2 stories high. The shows repeat about every hour from 6 PM to 9 PM on Friday and 5 PM to 9 PM on Saturday and Sunday. In 2018, the shows are Dec. 14 - 16. Be sure to arrive 30-45 minutes early for the show as these do fill up and have limited seating. Last year was an awesome event with about 5,000 attending through out the weekend and this year is even better with some added special attractions. This is better than some of the Branson shows I have visited.
