I went to this Cemetery when I was a kid on a field trip in the 70s. it was so spooky and still remember going to this day. it is for sure a must see!

My brother had made all of his arrangements & paid in full 2014 -- he died of Covid January 2021 in Ocala Florida in a nursing facility. We were told his arrangements could not be transferred, so we had him cremated & his daughters brought his remains back to Nashville. We had a graveside service in March 2021. My brother still does not have his marker in place. I have been driving around with a flag & flowers for his marker ... this will be the 2nd Memorial Day, the 2nd 4th of July, his birthday was in February, all of the normal dates you would dress his grave site. Allyson Wiggins has told us lie after lie. I mean seriously where is the compassion, empathy for the family ??? Not to mention breach of good faith & business practice.

It was such a peaceful old cemetery. The nice lady at the funeral home was so helpful and pleasant when I asked about the cemetery map. The markers are out for each of the main notable burials. The grounds were being maintained while I was there to ensure the grass was cut, which is a good thing. I could have spent much longer there just taking in the majesty of the headstones and monuments. So much character and thought put into them.

Great place to visit during this stressful time of virus. Hilltop location very scenic and historical significance outstanding.

As we are admirers of history and sculpture, this cemetery was a very good spot for us. It is the final resting spot for notables in Tennessee history, music icon, confederate soldiers and the common man. What impressed us was the ornate monuments, many Victorian, with angels, sphinxes and caryatids. Plan at least a hour to stroll through.
