Mall St. Matthews Shopping Center & Mall ·$$

This mall is the second largest mall in the entire state of Kentucky and it's appropriate that its located in the suburb of St. Matthews, which is home to most of Louisville's shopping centers. The anchor stores here include Forever 21, Dillard's and JC Penney as well as a Cinemark theater. Other ancillary stores include GameStop, Journeys, PacSun, Wet Seal, Victoria's Secret and many more. This mall is truly a one-stop-shop.

Came to the mall for years… decades.. and it’s always had issues with excessive overcrowding and parking. So to show their appreciation they have made half the parking lot paid parking so I’m watching so many people leave for oxmoor or even J mall. I’d rather drive an hour for less stress and damage to my car in parking lot over a greedy mall who chooses to scam more money from people with paid parking. Disgusting of mall st Matthew’s and I truly hope they lose so much business they shut down for life and forced into bankruptcy. Horrid greed by billionaire corps should receive their karma. After watching 50 or more cats leave because of parking and the entire pat parking lot is empty.. looks like they’re on their way fast.

My kids and I came here while waiting for our hotel room to become available. It’s Avery nice mall. It was clean, nice atmosphere, and even pretty quiet. There were many food court options and a wide variety of stores. Definitely kept us busy for a while.

We hit up both of the major malls on NYE of 2025. The mall has changed quite a bit since my last visit which was probably 10 years ago. Mall St Matthew’s now has two Dillard’s big box locations. I can’t recall what store had been removed. But there were more vacant store fronts in this mall than at Oxmoor Center. There were quite a few teens running around. Not there to shop but to socialize. The public restrooms were both in a terrible state of cleanliness and while I know the mall itself can’t contr who enter, they can do better in making those shopping to feel safer. This mall does have a Cheesecake Factory and a J.C. Penny’s. Most of the tradition”mainstream” National brands are in this mall of the two.

Great mall with a wide variety of stores, selling just about anything you can think of. Many mall staples (like Auntie Anne's), several local/small businesses, and big national brands like Vans, Bath & Body Works, and Hot Topic. Highly recommend.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I’m 46 years old and this is my first time leaving a review that’s how awful my first (and last) experience with Lolli & Pops inside the St. Mathew’s Mall in Louisville Ky. I can’t remember the name of the only employee in there so I’ll just say I was in there July 18th 2023 near closing time…My daughter and I travel from eastern Ky sometimes to visit the Louisville Zoo. We always have fun at this mall too but it closes at 8pm so on this day as we were making our way to the exit we saw Lolli & Pops, I checked my phone, Ive worked my whole life I wouldn’t go in and shop anywhere right at closing time but it was 7:43 (unless an iPhone 13 and a iPhone 10 are wrong,) I figured 17 min was more than enough time in a candy store because what we wanted wouldn’t take 2-3 minutes tops.So we walk in and there’s a young girl behind the counter messing with the safe, and I kindly ask “can we buy some macaroons?” I swear to all reading this it was eerie the way she slowly turned her head and glared at me.. not saying a word and without blinking she just stared at me, lol. It was insane. When I asked a second time “can we buy a couple macaroons real quick?” she got visibly angry and I was seriously confused as to why? I was extremely uncomfortable. & wishing I’d never even passed by this place. The store was open, the doors were open, the sign said OPEN- closing at 8. We had money to spend on the overpriced sweets and it would only take 2-3min’s tops. So wtf was her problem? It couldn’t be because they closed in 17 minutes? That’s ridiculous. So I didn’t understand why she was so hostile. Then for the third time I asked my question a different way I said “you have 17 minutes till closing so can we buy something real quick?” and without missing a beat she sarcastically & loudly squealed back at me (while mocking my accent) “YEAH! SURE THING! AFTER ALL I HAVE 17 MINUTES!” I just about lost it.. but I was here with my kid. While this was going on a nice looking older gentleman walked in on his phone with someone explaining to him which Candy they needed him to pick up, it was a simple bag of one specific kind, no big deal, right? Wrong! She openly sighed and glared at all 3 of us with a look of disgust on her face, I actually thought her head was gonna explode when he walked in and asked her “do you have a bag Mam?” (to scoop the candy in) and she squealed back at him “SIR IF YOU’LL JUST LOOK AROUND THEY’RE ALL OVER THE STORE!” Embarrassed he quietly replied “ok.” He was actually only asking her because almost all the bag holders were empty! Then it was time to pay- we bought 2 Macarons (they only had 4 flavors available,) also MAYBE a handful of chocolate covered cashews (weighed out in a bag) and a 1 Rock Candy Sucker… $35. LOL whatever.. I would have paid double to get the hell out of there.I don’t and won’t advise anyone to ever go there. That’s Lolli & Pop in St Mathew’s Mall Louisville unless they want to be made to feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, disrespected, and made fun of.Great mall- avoid this store. Horrible employee & customer service.
