This museum was pretty boring. It touts the fact that they have 80 hidden doors to find and then tell you once you pay that people typically only find two or three. We actually found about 12. Despite that interesting fact, the rest of the museum was nothing but a bunch of rich people's junk that was donated to this museum. There were toys from the 1970s, old albums, lots and lots of pictures on the walls, a room devoted to the Beatles, another room devoted to Halloween decor, a Christmas room, etc. but all in all every room was packed to the hilt and difficult to move around in. Definitely not worth spending approximately $35 apiece to get in.

What a wonderfully odd and awesome place! I highly recommend as a museum visit, an event space, or book one of the hotel rooms as we did. A memorable visit that leaves me smiling in a great central DC location. Special shout out to Sara and the staff who do all they can to endure your visit is easy and pleasurable.

I contacted the Mansion on O Street for more information about the place after my son and his girlfriend told me they were taking me there as a birthday gift. Nancy promptly called me back and provided me with a lot of information about the mansion's history which made me even more excited to visit. I loved the experience - we didn't feel rushed and the staff was friendly and professional. What a beautiful place filled with beautiful items for sale - a lot of the items I saw brought back fond memories of my past such as the Wizard of Oz display ,the Beatles, Star Wars, and Barbie, just to name a few. We did find 8 or 9 secret doors and had so much fun. There is so much to see and I will definitely be back in the near future - thank you Nancy and staff for making our experience a memorable one and thank you for all you do for the community, I wish there were more places like the O Street Museum - a classy place with a wonderful history and a great staff that runs it. I have already spread the word to friends and neighbors to visit - a great birthday gift!

Mansion on O Street is the best place/museum I’ve ever been to. Not enough words to describe the experience, but it was mesmerizing, magical, captivating, jaw dropping. When we went inside, it felt like entering another universe. Every corner revealed a new surprise & it’s impossible to see everything in one visit. We plan on doing a Night at the Museum as we are determined to find all 90+ secret doors. Run to this museum…a one of a kind museum.

I was given the idea of going to this museum from a friend. You won't always find it on things to do in DC lists. It is worth the trip. Cost is low and you can easily spend several hours in the mansion. It is more than a search for secret doors, the entire place is full of collectibles. Some of the rooms are overwhelmingly filling with things. You can buy almost anything in the museum. If you like it take it with you, you won't find your way back and it won't be in the gift shop area. Think creatively and have fun!
