...simply because it only features the most important films in the world - there will be foreign & domestic films as well as locally produced film screenings - you'll see the best films from the world's film festivals - Oscar nominated shorts/animation & documentaries unavailable any where else. Met opera & National Theater programs never sounded sooo good on the surround sound system - lecture hall seating with the folding tables lets you know this is a working theater - part of the university media arts programs....but you can get buttered popcorn & gourmet chocolate bars at the concession stand!

Every visit to the Ross Theatre has been wonderful, The selection of films continues to be stellar, the staff accommodating and the theatre clean. Would choose the Ross over a commercial theatre anytime!

Cool place, sticky seats. Cheap. It felt like stepping back into the 80's. Great place to see movies with substance.

Very thought provoking movies are brought to the big screen here. Sometimes there are even people who are involved with the movies that have Q & A sessions

Interesting underground theater in an old building. Definitely worth a look if you have not been before.
