New Orleans is a really beautiful city with so much to do, from carriage rides to shopping to cemetery tours; there is something for everyone. The architecture is stunning in the French Quarter. I recommend dining at the Court of Two Sisters and definitely getting a muffaletta from Central City Market!

I parked in the One Canal Place Parking lot and had to prepay. I had no idea I couldn't pay additional time if I overstayed my estimated time. Also One Canal Place has always validated parking but couldn't do so because upon departure I had exceed my estimated departure time. I was sent a tikcet in the amount of $85.00!!!! If you go I suggest parking elsewhere or better yet, shop on Magazine.

You can always tell when you have entered an expensive shopping mall when they have large men with walkie talkies on the door. Saks, Tiffany, Vuitton need I say more - you need a licence to SPEND!

I purchased the Azalea Wang Faux Fur Panel Hooded Trench Black coat for $365.98, from a store named Upper Atmosphere in the Canal place shopping center, New Orleans. I was only in town for a short period of time, therefore arranged for the coat to be shipped rather than taking it with me. Upon returning to my hotel, without the coat I noticed online that the same coat was selling at Nordstrom’s for $209 and other locations such as Akita for $159 with free shipping. I contacted Donte who transferred to the store manager Tiffany to see what options could be done, and was told that I can only do an even exchange or given a store credit; despite being charged around $200 more than it was selling at other locations. They told me that they purchased products, then marked them up to sell them. However, the amount that it was marked up was almost double.Due to being ADA disabled, it was difficult for me to get back to their location. A merchandise credit and the amount I spent on the coat without seeing the products in person would not work. I emailed the CEO Shattera Blackman and Rese Cliffman explaining the situation requesting for assistance. Due to not getting a response from my email, I went back from the French Quarter to the Riverwalk the next day to speak with personnel in person. It was a tough day due to my disability, but I wanted to hopefully get help, even with an in-store credit to make up the price difference. The staff was very rude, disrespectful, unprofessional; beyond anything I have seen in an upscale shopping facility. Jadeon the assistant manager stated that he would talk to owner to see if there’s anything they can do, but he wouldn’t do anything to help. They are the only location, and to my surprise were not even listed under the stores at Canal Place; despite them stating they had been there for two years. Jadeon said they have several employees and someone will take it to FedEx by time they close that day on the December 29th by 7 PM to ship it out and text me tracking number. When I never heard back, I texted for an update with the assistant manager in regards to the status of shipping. He was extremely rude stating that he would let me know when it is shipped. I called a week later and it still had not been shipped on January 4, despite being told that it would be shipped the Friday before. To protect others, from being taken advantage of as I have, I feel my experience should be shared. To this day, I have never received anything but negative attitudes and unprofessionalism from Upper Atmosphere.
