Fantastic experience. This is part store, part museum, part historical experience in the heart of New Orleans. The artwork, jewelry and antiques are truly world class. Being able to walk through and observe as well as shop if you are so included. The jewelry collection I'd stunning. Highly recommend enjoying MS Rau to shop or browse .

Totally unexpected! We found this absolutely amazing gallery while walking around town. If you like art, you’ll love this gallery. Picasso, van Gogh, Renoir - and even Warhol, Norman Rockwell (and Frank Sinatra)! Amazing sculptures and antiques that are for sale. Just a bit out of my price range so we didn’t pick anything up this time. Maybe next time. Highly recommended stop if in town!

I did not know about this place so had not planned to go on our trip to NOLA. It ended up being one of our favorite stops! Better than a museum!

This is a gorgeous shop with some amazing museum quality work on view and for sale including an outstanding Magritte and even an attractive Botero which I never thought I’d see. Dramatically lighted throughout the third floor especially. On the first floor an attractive Rembrandt and Duhrer could be had for $113,000; fortunately I left my American Express card at home.

I can't say I have taken the time to write such a review but the way I was treated today compelled me to write this. 1st off, is everything in this place extraordinarily beautiful? No doubt about it. I made a special trip as I adore history and love to be able to share this with my daughter. Now to how we were treated. We were the ONLY guests in the store. When we walked into the jewelry department (the part I most anticipated for this trip), the 3 sales people who were on the floor were joking and laughing with one another could not even be bothered to look over for a simple greeting. A simple, hello! welcome! anything. Now I do understand going in that this is a very high end store and I was wearing very casual clothes as my daughter and I were shopping around the French Quarter. I was not expecting to have sales people tripping over themselves to serve me but I had to say Hi to them which honestly, felt weird. And at that, they looked bothered that I even spoke to them at all. They did not make us feel welcome. The nice security guard by the door caught on and picked up their slack, being very nice letting us know that if we needed anything she could have someone help us. For all the anticipation of being able to see such beautiful objects to feel like I was a piece of garbage? Super not cool. Do they work on commission? I bet they do. You should never judge a book by its cover. It should not matter how we were dressed. I feel like being warm to guests that enter goes a long way. I have never felt so cold shouldered at an establishment.
