tripadvisorWOW! We stayed an extra day in New Orleans & decided to walk around another area of the city. We found CCB! We walked in and you could just feel the history & stories around you. We are fans of old books and old maps! It was like a kid in a candy shop.... we were so happy to find a map from the late 1800's that matched a smaller version of one we have. The gentleman was very knowledgeable about maps and books and it was a pleasure to purchase something from him! Definitely a MUST STOP if you are into old books & maps.
MoreMy friend & I stumbled into business by just walking around in the city. We're both book junkies, so we walked in to check this place out. It was completely beyond my expectations in a positive manner. The store layout is very well-organized by categories, authors, vintage, very clean store, large enough room to walk around, and the staff was very nice. Prices were very reasonable on the books that I came across. You can spend over an hour in here checking out what the store has to offer. I know there are a lot of hidden gems in here for everyone. I definitely recommend stopping in here to check out their amazing selection of used books.
MoreWonderful bookstore selling new and used books. Owner was very helpful and knowledgeable showing me books I was interested in. Found some old cookbooks while hubby found a jazz book. Loved the kitty too that just fit in curled up on a chair.
MoreAn wonderful used book store (with a few new books about New Orleans). Their selection is amazing! You think you've seen most of the store until you keep wondering further back and find several more rooms. Their categories of books go on and on. I spent several hours there one afternoon and left with an armful of books. Prices are pretty reasonable, and the manager is a delight.
MoreVery cool place to spend some time. Have a lot of interesting and unique books available with a very knowledgable staff to boot! Love the cat :)
