Radioactive was playing awesome band
The Krazy Korner Bar & Pub ·$

This live music club is one of the only Bourbon Street bars to feature origional music from local musicians. The bands emanate the raw, dirty and soulful feeling of the Blues every night of the week. Krazy Korner itself lacks any distinguishing characteristics—it is simply a long, narrow room with brick walls and low ceilings, but the vibe from the musicians inside draws crowds of music afficienados of all ages. There is no cover charge and the drinks are reasonably priced for Bourbon Street. It is open from Monday to Friday at 5pm and Saturday and Sunday at 2pm.

Amazing people playing music, bartender was super nice, there weren’t a ton of people which made it very nice after a long day walking.

Tried twice, just for the music. Once was a great (and I mean GREAT) band named The Daywalkers & once was a fantastic band with a fiddle player named Danny (sorry, don't remember the band name). A friend came to meet me, but after paying $23 for a well vodka & a 12oz domestic beer (not counting tip & credit card service charge), she decided to go elsewhere. Otherwise, I was the only patron in the bar the entire time, both times. The service was deplorable. Both days, the bartender was so busy flirting/visiting with other employees that she couldn't be bothered to wait on me, the ONLY PERSON AT THE BAR. I guess that is a good thing she ignored me, because I can drink a lot & at those prices I would be broke very soon! So, in summary, crappy service in an empty club that charges inflated prices, but some of the very best music I have ever heard in my entire life. If neither of these two sets of excellent musicians can fill this club, ownership & management should be asking themselves why.

The Daywalkers were excellent. If you like zydeco they are your jam. Drink prices were some of the highest we paid all week. Bathrooms are best described as rough. We were there during the day so the crowd was...just us! Again, the band was stellar. Worth a couple of overpriced drinks to hear them.

I was physically assaulted here yesterday. I simply asked a girl to excuse me while I was trying to go inside and the girl and her friend immediately, without hesitation, punched me in the face. Once on the ground they began to hit Me repeatedly. The “bouncers” working for this place just sat back and watched. They did not intervene at all. You would think you were safe with them there, but the complete opposite. Thank God my fiance was there to help stop them from beating me unconscious. I tried calling the cops but thy never showed up. Please dont go here. Im seriously hurt and on top of that they stole my shoes so I had to work barefoot.

We had a great time, during the recent French Quarter Fest. We stopped by when we heard the band playing (sorry, but I don’t remember their name.), and they were great. The bartender was great. The crowd was great, and everything was enjoyable.
