Came in here to wait for some family who were off on a ghost tour and what a brilliant evening we ended up having!The guy on the door was super grumpy though- he just signalled he wanted ID from me and my mum (47 and 65!) and then grunted us in with a head shove. I smiled at him… nothing… more of a snarl than anything remotely welcoming!That said they searched all men on the way in for weapons which I like.The bar staff were lovely - really polite and friendly - I never waited long for a drink.What really made us stay though was the band - they were amazing!! They’re called SuperSonic and were just brilliant - 4 of the 5 members sang solo and could all sing really well. They swapped musical instruments so one minute one guy was playing the keyboard, guitar and harmonica (yes all 3!) and then the next song he was on the drums. They took requests all night like a human jukebox.I loved that they weren’t pushy either with tips - some bands we have seen are ‘if you want us to play a song it’s $20 per song’ - these guys didn’t do that - they just carried on playing. Other bars come round constantly waving a tips bucket in your face but I think for the 4 or 5 hours we were there the singer came round twice and just walked round with a bucket in the air - not shaking it in everyone’s face.There was a couple of songs I asked for that they didn’t do (a Shania number and Alice Cooper) and they joked about getting a poor review but they must have played another 5 or 6 we asked for.There is also a guy who keeps the crowd entertained during the bands breaks and he was brilliant - he raps along to well known dance tunes and was good fun to watch.We would have gone back to see them the following night but had a riverboat dinner booked. Definitely worth a visit!

This is a great place to stop when visiting Bourbon Street. It has great drinks, prices and an awesome patio. We felt Carla was by far the best bartender we encountered on Bourbon Street. She is so much fun and works very quickly. We actually made it a point to stop by a few days later to see her before we left New Orleans. She made our visit to Razzoo so much fun.

Razoo Bar & Patio became our favorite spot when we visited for Mardi Gras 2024 (2/9-2/12). Cocktails weren’t as strong so we just went for tequila shots. I think what made it great were the emcees of the night. They played hiphop/rnb and were sooooooo turned up! We stay on the stage for the entire time and only stepped out for the bathroom and to get more drinks. Bathroom as soooo accessible too! There was a bar by the dance floor and another in the patio. Just be aware tho that they charge your credit card for every swipe so if you have cash, it’s best to use them. :)Have funnnnnn. We had a great time!

Popped in this spot on a Saturday night. One of many bars we checked out while visiting Nola for the first time. It wasn’t a busy night at all. Pretty empty inside, mostly just staff. I was immediately impressed with how they have drink prices clearly displayed above the bar. Drinks are ridiculously priced on Bourbon but these appeared to be pretty competitive. A “super premium” was $12.50 and you could make it a double for another $7. So, I proceed to ask this female bartender what exactly is considered “super premium” and she says,”you know…anything like Hennessy or Ciroc.” Huh?First of all, there was a male bartender that I initially walked up to but for some reason she stepped over him to initiate the sell. She had a funky demeanor off the break and now as a White woman, you explain “super premium” to me, a woman of color, as Hennessy or Ciroc? Complete turn off. I immediately replied by stating that I don’t drink nor care for either of those dead to her face. Her attitude was stank, but I can one up stank any day. But, I got the drink cause whatever had her in a bad mood, I figured why not make it worse. Yep, #teampetty I am not leaving an open tab so I asked to cash out. She says $19.50, hand her my card, and see the price has increased for about a $1 then additional tax. I questioned why the additional charge for using my card and said I’ve noticed this occur at a few establishments so is this a Nola thing? She said she didn’t know what it is and why they up charge for credit transactions. So I said you can’t charge fees without displaying so she then points to this sign on a pillar that clearly states there is a 4% surcharge and why. So did this dingbat never read the sign? She doesn’t know “anything about it” but there is a sign right there. Again, stank! The male bartender invited himself into the conversation and she conveniently eases away and leaves the bar entirely. The guy was super cool and explained the 4% is what the credit card charges them per transaction so that’s why they charge us. Oh ok! You charge the customer the cost of YOUR doing business. What the heck? I don’t promote businesses like this. For the record, most people spend more money when they swipe. You are way more smart with your choices when limited to cash in hand. Be a smart business. If your POS system fees interfere with profit, incorporate that cost into your prices. Don’t penalize the patrons! Anyway, the stank bartender really left a sour taste in my mouth so I spoke to the manager. First, complimented the male bartender who understood the questioning of the fees. Like don’t hand me a bill then swipe my card with a whole new total without telling me. Second, I explained that his White female bartender explaining “super premium” as two liquor brands stereotyped as Black people preferred was insulting. Whether she meant it as a stereotypical response — it was insulting. The manager was cool. He listened and provided insight, to include she having a Black son. Sigh. The good old “I’m not racist, I have Black friends” defense. Note, having a biracial child does not eliminate unconscious bias nor prejudice. Please understand that. Knowing she has a biracial child just makes me think she was even more deliberate in mentioning Hennessy and Ciroc as “super premium”. Lame. Would I come back to this establishment? Maybe, just to have this lame female bartender make my drinks and not tip. Since she likes to stereotype…I’d love to play along and NOT TIP HER. I wish establishments understood it’s people like her that cut into their profits because now you lost two customers and gained another bad review…all because a rude staffer to pay to provide good customer service, not chase off patrons with their bad attitudes and bias.

Spent a few evenings in here enjoying the amazing Phunky Monkeys band. The musicianship was outstanding, the vocalists deteriorated the choice of songs was so eclectic and brilliant.
