tripadvisorWe chose the English speaking tour with our local guide, Rosemary. She was very knowledgeable and obviously loves her hometown! We learned so much about the history of New Orleans and got to see many places that are not on any other tours. Highly recommend this insightful and intimate tour
MoreDelightful walking tour with Rosemary. We were lucky to have the tour to ourselves, which meant asking lots of questions - so many thanks to Rosemary’s patience and good humour for contending with us! Knowledgeable and interesting - getting into some private courtyards and gardens a real highlight.
MoreWe have a very informative, fun tour (even in the rains, thanks to the thoughtful and interesting commentary of our guide Rosemary Ciaccio. This unique tour includes Saint-Anthony’s Garden behind Saint-Louis Cathedral, Jackson Square, the Pharmacy Museum and the Hermann Grima House. We learned so much about the history and culture of New Orleans. Thank you Rosemary!
MoreWe took the English tour with Rosemary. She was so incredibly knowledgeable about NOLA history and showed us things that only a local would know about. They have access to courtyards that other tours do not. If you are a history buff and really want to get to know the history of the city, this is the tour for you!
MoreWe wanted an overview and orientation about New Orleans from a local. This delivered so well. The tour contained a brief explanation of the history of NOLA and showed us places which, as Brits, we wouldn’t have found. Rosemary covers history, architecture, commerce, and NOLA life through the centuries to the present day. I particularly liked the description of some of the houses we saw as “double shotgun” - unique! The tour is more of a 2 hour stroll around the French Quarter not physically taxing at all and accessing places only local know about. There is some explanation of the involvement of slavery in the wealth generation of New Orleans, but not overly so. Recommendations for visitors to try out on their own are included. There was not a question posed that Rosemary could not answer, by the end we felt we had had a very personal tour from an expert. Highly recommended.
