Visited last year and met Picasso`s wife, Frances. This gallery makes memories. We always love to visit this location. Very polite folks. Look forward to another visit.

Seriously. They are, I happened to be there the night they won! What a special gem on Magazine street. I had the pleasure of checking out the gallery for the Glass with a twist show and I can't wait to go back. Thanks Thomas Mann!

The Thomas Mann I/O Gallery is a retail outlet for his own techno.romantic jewelry creations, but it is much more than that. Mann uses the space to also showcase other artists who design and create engaging wearable and decorative art. All of the art is stimulating and evocative. Mann's pieces often reflect his roots in using non-precious metals or stones in favor of bits and baubles that appear found, but when assembled in bracelets, necklaces, and pins reveal a precision of design that grabs the eye and engages the heart. Gallery I/O, which stands for “Insight-Full Objects”, offers work that combines elements of the American Craft movement, European design aesthetic and traditional fine arts to yield a unique visual idiom — Some are decorative, some are functional, but all are engaging and invite new understanding of how craft, art and design are experienced. During our recent visit, we were treated to a fantastic exhibit of his styles as well as drawer after drawer of one-of-a-kind pieces the venture well beyond his production lines. We were there during a lull and were able to get a quick tour of the working production studio and design shop above the Gallery. It was really interesting to see how and where the designs are created and produced. As fans of Mann's jewelry, we were thrilled, but this Gallery has designs to interest a broad audience. Highly recommended.
