tripadvisorWe went to the museum since we had time to visit. It is a great place to learn more about the Acadians and their plight to find a new homeland. I believe it is a great place to visit if you are interested in history and specially if you have ancestors who were exiled from Canada or left Europe for a better life
MoreI live in Eunice and visit the Cultural Center regularly. The facility is a valued community resource and a visitors’ attraction. A group I belong to meets there every Friday morning for the Cajun French Table, a time of sharing memoirs of times-gone-by on the Cajun Prairie. We speak both French and English, so non-French speakers feel at home. The atmosphere is both cordial and educational.
MoreMy husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the cultural center. We were warmly welcomed to the center by Ranger William. Ranger William was extremely knowledgeable about the area and provided us with a variety of options for us to consider during our stay. The Mardi Gras exhibit was fantastic! We highly recommend visiting.
MoreFantastic history of how our ancestors arrived in this area of Louisiana. It is a unique and interesting story. We were poor but hard working.
MoreWe thoroughly enjoyed our short visit to this museum. The ranger was from the area and shared an in-depth knowledge of the Cajun Mardi Gras parade we’d just attended. The exhibits were quite good. I wish we’d had more time. It also appears that they have great activities every Saturday for kids.
