walking about 3 miles overall it was very pleasant, clean, and not many places to visit to get out of the heat. Tour guide was very good.

There are a lot of things to see and dining options around the area. Be prepared to do a lot of walking, as parking is limited.

Nice enough streets but not much to see really with little or no retailers. Plenty of parking and generally clean and safe.

From meeting with homeless persons and exploring their struggles, to visiting with international visitors trying out their drones, to sharing snacks with families of 5 - the steps along Baton Rouge's portion of the Mississippi provide endless opportunities for all ages to engage socially while learning without even knowing it. Viewing the cargo ships slowly chugging along the river is as fascinating as exploring the who, what, why, and how of bridge construction and the pounding thuds of hearing cars pass

We had originally planned to do a food tour in Lafayette but it was canceled last minute because they couldn't get their minimum amount of people. So at the last minute, we decided to stop in Baton Rouge and booked this food trip. Even though there was only 2 of us (4 were later added) and it was the day before, John said no problem. The food was great, and learned some history along the way. It started to rain and John had umbrellas and rain ponchos ready. We had a lot of fun and would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. John was the best!!!
