The very cozy and friendly Chamber Theatre hosted an adaptation of Dicken's Great Expectations Saturday night. Six actors and a violinist put on a tremendous program. The theatre is small and quite cozy. Ireally like this venue. You feel part of the show.

This performance at Broadway Theatre Center's Cabot Theatrewas amazing. The Tony award winning play was playwright Christopher Durang's melding of his sense of humor with Chekhov's heavy hearts. The setting chosen by Durang is Bucks County, PA. This theatre is a gem. Last night the actors & the directorreturned to the stage for comments & q&a. We felt so fortunate to be able to see this, only bring here for 2 days!

We came here for My Fair Lady. The floor seats are best, though it's a small theater so you can see the stage from anywhere. There's a bar upstairs with reasonably priced snacks at intermission.

Beautiful theater with excellent sight lines and very comfortable seats. We saw Boeing, Boeing which was laugh out loud funny.

My wife and I have had season tickets to the Milwaukee Chamber Theatre for 5-6 years now. The Chamber Theatre came about in 1975, and according to its history, Montgomery Davis and Ruth Schudson founded the Milwaukee Chamber Theatre and starred in its first production. Located in Milwaukee's trendy Third Ward, the Chamber Theatre is surrounded by a number of interesting pubs/taverns/restaurants that we frequent prior to showtime. The Chamber Theatre puts on 5 productions per season, from August through April, and often start and end the season with a comical farce in the Cabot Theatre. The other 3 plays are held in the Studio Theatre, with seating for around 100. Season tickets for two will run a bit over $300. In all the plays we have attended, there hasn't been a clinker yet, and the Chamber Theatre will also partner with UW-Milwaukee and Marquette University in productions. Not only does the Chamber Theatre put on quality shows, but they appear to have taken on the responsibility in providing a venue for students at these universities to hone their craft. In order for there to be community theatre, the community must support that theatre. Money from ticket sales only goes so far, which is why I have also donated to the Chamber Theatre as well. There is nothing better than to have a night at the theatre and dinner prior for a date night. The Milwaukee Chamber Theatre is a city treasure - - OUR treasure. Go to the show !!
