We stayed here on the way back home for one night. There were moths in our room, stale coffee, curdled cream, dirty furniture and poor drainage after a heavy rain and could barely make it in to our room which was detached from the house and above the garage which contained a personal office. One of the staff members coughed in our faces and wore no mask. When I informed the owner he simply came back with stories told by the employee that were fiction. We were never informed of any issues at all. We were made to feel not wanted to walk through the main house as every other exit was under water and we did so at our insistence. When we asked for a different room we were told 3 times that they were sold out and full. There wasn’t a car there all night or the morning. This Covid time does make it hard for businesses to perform as usual but we had nothing but pleasant stays everywhere else with no issues. This stay did not have to go like this. We would have left earlier if not for bad weather and each item happened as the night progressed. We are 70 years old, easy to please and well traveled and have had no complaints of any other stays to date. The owner clearly is not concerned and felt justified to not issue a refund. We told him to keep the money.

Our second visit to this property was April 2019. The property itself is lovely. We found this visit extremely DISSAPOINTING. Call me optimist but I believe an expensive B n B should serve breakfast. We received day old pastries, yogurt and coffee. The day old pastries were left covered on the counter and we retrieved our yogurt from the fridge.(I know they were day old because we had the same breakfast two days in a row.) We like to stay in a bnb because we like being served breakfast. As for the grounds, we realize it is spring but the weather had been over freezing for weeks. The grounds were trashy with flower pots with dead plants scattered everywhere. No effort was in process for spring yard spruce up. There is now way top much junk scattered in the yard, don't get me wrong, I like the look they are going for but too much junk is too much junk. It is very dissapointing given this is such a beautiful property. It seems as tho the focus is not on being a BnB. We will definitely not be returning.

I was here with my Red Hat Group for an afternoon tea. It was very nice and I was glad we had the opportunity to have tea here. The staff was efficient and friendly and after tea, they gave us a tour of the inn as no guests had arrived yet.

We stayed in the carriage house adjacent to main building and loved it. Very large room with kitchen facilities if needed. Tim and Kylie were very gracious during breakfast the next morning. From the fabulous food to the antique china, it was a luxurious experience. The furniture in the main house is like being in antique showroom.
