tripadvisorHad a nice stay in a cabin. Clean, had everything we needed. Staying during the week was quiet and not too crowded. Nice location to take in the local sites.Friendly staff in the Visitor Center.
MoreGorgeous park, great for bird and animal watching. I wish they would add more acres to this park to make it bigger, as they are packing in more campsites. It’s such a phenomenal access point to nature, even with a housing development on one side :( People that worked there were very nice. Ranger Ellen did a 7am bird hike!
MoreGreat Park with well maintained trails. Unfortunately the Avian Trail and the observation tower were both closed for repairs when we visited. Friendly staff at desk in office. Plenty of picnic tables. We just visited for the day so no comment on camping facilities
MorePleasant walk though not as scenic as we'd hoped. The highlight was the ranger's wildlife presentation of an eastern rat snake. She was very knowledgable and interesting. The gift shop was the best one we'd visited on our trip to Savannah, with good souvenir options to bring home for children.
MoreThis was our first visit to a GA State park. We loved it! Very close to Savannah with plenty to do. We visited historic Savannah and the Riverside district. Drove through Isle of Hope which was beautiful! Visited the Pulaski National Monument on the way to Tybee Island. No way to ever be bored for the people who can’t sit still. We have 2 large dogs and took them everywhere we went. The Savannah area is a lovely pet friendly city. The campground had very clean bath houses and very cute gift shop and very friendly people that work there. The sites are very spread out which is a plus. Will definitely be back and plan on visiting more GA state parks.
