We visited between their art exhibitions. We didn’t realize there was not a permanent exhibit. Before going you need to check and see if there is an exhibit. We did have a wonderful tour of the Black house. Our guide was fantastic!! Great history of the house, Searcy and the neighborhood. We hope to return when they do have some art on display. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area!

Awesome older building, wonderful exhibits, great atmosphere, kind people. Worth a visit for sure! Exhibits switch out every other month!

The 'old house' provides a quaint setting for those who appreciate both local and distant artists. The building interior is reminiscent of days gone by.

Til the end of May there will be a photography exhibit of photos from White County. They were just beautiful...we bought two of them! The exhibition will help Relay for Life. This was a win-win! Stop by, you won't be disappointed.

The Searcy Art Gallery features art work by local artists, both professional and up-and-coming. Exhibits change about every two months, so return visits are encouraged. In February and March, exhibits include artwork by local children. The Gallery is located in the historic Black House and contains furniture and pictures from some of its inhabitants. A small gift shops offers artwork by local artists as well as books about local history and art. Admission is free but a donation box is located near the entrance. A small parking lot is at the rear of the building.
