I took my grandson (six). He thoroughly enjoy the play and was attentive the whole hour. Pleasant atmosphere and was reasonable priced.

We went to go see a performance at the Kotary theater at Crown Center. Bonus because it’s free parking on the weekend! The theater is inviting and is wonderful, intimate, and full of energy.

Visited this theater on a first grade field trip. Smaller venue with seating on the floor right in front of the stage and chairs behind. They did an Amazing job with a very large group of kids! The play only had two men playing various characters but they engaged the kids and made it fun and interactive! Highly recommend!

This is a perfect place to introduce your young ones to theatre. Check the age recommendations for the show. Not all are appropriate for the very young. Kids can sit on the floor at stage level, while the adults sit in comfortable theater seats. Most shows are only one hour, so holding the kids attention is not difficult. Be sure to get there early, as seats are not assigned. Depending on your show time, it is easy to find spots in the center for a meal. Parking is covered and plenty of it.

This theatre has not disappointed us every time we have gone. The Garfield show was terrific and it is only a little over an hour long. It is fun, especially for kids and keeps them entertained the entire time. But I find myself enjoying the terrific talent of the actors and band as well as the entire show! Our 6 year old granddaughter loves going to the Coterie when she visits us in KCMO.
