tripadvisorIris at the Basin Park is one of my go-to shops in downtown Eureka Springs, but I was gravely disappointed on my most recent visit. It is still a beautiful shop nestled in a prime spot right next to Basin Park, however the contents are now more gallery than artisan shop. There was barely any jewelry on display and what they did have was large statement kind of pieces, save the beautiful blown glass. I don't know if they are changing direction or if their normal artisans just have provided new material to sell. I'll wait to see what they have on my next visit before I count them out.
MoreThis store is one of my go-to places to visit when I’m in town with my parents. They have an interesting mix of art, jewelry and decorations. I always seem to find something when I go in and this time I found a cranky cat birthday card to give to a friend of mine. There were a couple pieces or jewelry I liked as well but opted to just get the card. I could easily spend all my money there without even realizing it. I can’t wait to go back.
MoreTracy was very friendly and inviting both times I visited. I picked out some local artwork to take home with me. I was very surprised to learn that Serendipity at the Crescent are owned by the same folks. Very different vibes. I recommend the Basin Park location hands down.
MoreIris at the Basin Park is one of my favs in Downtown Eureka, but as seemed the trend with shops during this visit, they didn’t seem to have as much stuff as they usually do. The blown glass selection was about half the size as normal, but they had a TON of cat stuff, some that was very amusing. Seems to be a hit or miss trip for shopping this time. However I will keep going back to Iris because they carry good high quality stuff.
MoreEureka Springs was all I was hoping for! From the cute downtown, fun restaurants & beautiful scenery.
