tripadvisorWe go to this spa every 1-2 months, it's amazing every single time. - General experience: The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The services, though expensive, are worth every penny, and the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing. The most recent visit, the outdoor deck and the room with the anti-gravity chairs (might be called the relaxation room) were under renovation. They gave us access to the outdoor pool, which was a nice change although too many kids were running around. - Services: I typically get the Classic Spa pedicure, or the Destino pedicure, and I've never had a complaint about it. In the past I've gotten a Swedish massage as well as various other treatments, which I'll leave reviews for later because I can't recall how those went, but I've never left disappointed and neither has the group I go with each time. - Amenities: The steam room, sauna and hot tub in the women's locker room are all a great way to relax before/after treatments. They have private showers and changing rooms, towels available around every corner, snacks & drinks on each level. If you are going out afterward, they have a ton of individual vanities to get ready, all equipped with mirror, hair dryer, various toiletries and a sink.
MoreAmazing experience at the spa. Highly recommend the facial and massage package. 3 of us had facials and massages, all of us raved about the quality of the treatments. That type of consistency is rare. We used all of the rooms: salt, quiet, and relaxation. And of course the caldarium, which we sat in for hours, had beverages and lunch, and enjoyed the pools. If you like spas, this place is a must visit.
MoreVery nice place to stay! In Reno for a conference and spent 3 nights here. The Peppermill is a considerably less expensive alternative to the hotel that connects to the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, and according to my colleagues, my room was quite a bit nicer. I stayed in the North Tower, which I heard was renovated last year. The room was clean, large and the bed was very comfortable. It has a small refrigerator (no microwave)It was nice to be able to opt out of daily housekeeping. These updated rooms have a gazillion USB ports for your electronics! The WiFi worked very well. One of my favorite amenities was being able to Chromecast my device to the large TV so I could binge watch on Netflix. My one criticism is that there is no accessible electrical outlet near the bed (needed to power up my CPAP). Housekeeping brought an extension cord and I signed a form promising to pay $25 if I didn’t return it. All personnel were very courteous and helpful.
MoreCame up to Reno for a HS football game vs. Bishop Manogue. Wife and I decided to stay the night and stayed at Peppermill. It was a great stay, reasonably priced, tons of variety at the hotel, and all gambling options. We'd stay again...any time of the year...so try the place out.
MoreThey used to have a great High Limit poker room area...one of the best anywhere! Recently they added a couple giant screen TVs, which are just way too distracting. They also removed a privacy wall which protected the area and added a great sense of security. Now the High Limit area is not a pleasant environment. I won’t be playing much again.
