We knew we were booking a 2 star hotel, maybe one of those stars is for having walls and a roof. The only positives here are the fact they store luggage after check out and pre check in. Also staff were helpful when we ran into problems with our credit and travel cards and gave us 24 hours to pay the security deposit. Rooms are tiny, walls are thin, beds and pillows very uncomfortable. Bathrooms tiny as well. Location was ok for Hollywood Boulevard.

I stayed at the Hotel Hollywood while I was vacationing in Los Angeles in May 2024. From my perspective, this place is ideal for those who are seeking to discover the movie attractions! Located near the Hollywood Walk of Fame, this hotel has friendly and helpful staff and my room was big and had a nice bathroom and there was a small fridge and a safe. I would say that one thing some people might find uncomfortable might be that there is no elevator. Apart from that, this is a very nice hotel and I was very happy with my stay and I would definetely stay again!

The Hotel Hollywood is an interesting place; beautiful historic building in the center of the Hollywood tourist area, but on a street dominated by apartment buildings. The Hotel was constructed in the 1920's and does not have an elevator but is restored to a very nice level of comfort.*THE GOOD - Nice lady on the desk in the morning, helpful and accommodating.Good Price considering the areaGreat rooms, clean well appointed, with bathrooms showers that have a bench to sit on while you shower.Nice linens and towels and bath amenitiesHalls / public areas nicely decorated and maintained.Great Housekeeping, staff was extremely nice.Individual AC / Heating unit performed well; comfortable room.Water was hot, good water pressure - does take time to heat up.Great Location with a pretty good Diner across the street* THE NOT SO GOODNo drink machine, water, breakfast or snacksNo Desk Person at night - security issue - we had a Night Visitor knock on our door at 3:30AM and there was no one on property. we enjoyed our room at the Hotel Hollywood; definitely a historic gem that could use a little improvement but provides a good price value proposition. I think the owner should consider a night clerk / night auditor for Security and added service. Night people are adept at following guests into any Hotel entrance, bypassing the door's security code protection. I cannot express the feeling I got when I heard a knocking at 3:30AM, then looked through the eye portal to see a masked young man in a hoody! When I told him to leave, he did so immediately; however the Hotel is a delight otherwise - thanks to the staff for a nice stay.

Terrible lack of compassion shown. We booked with them on the 16th of March for a week and was looking forward to very much, however due to circumstances out of mine and partners control we are unable to go because my partner is extremely ill and is not allowed to fly at all. I booked through booking.com and spoke to them in relation to this and they said they would contact this hotel. However when the replied they were unable to waiver the cancellation fee even though we had paid almost £700 already it would nice to waiver those fees as finances are going to be extremely difficult now

We stayed on the 3rd floor in Marylin Monroe’s room. It was a small but a little bougie. The light was glamorous and reflected pretty patterns around the room. The bed was super comfortable. There is no microwave or coffee maker just so you are aware. The bathroom is dated but the shower seems to be newer and the size is good. There is a small table and 2 chairs and right next to it is an open area to hang clothes and 2 drawers for clothing. Under it is a small refrigerator. No frills hotel but has character. There is no elevator so handicapped people ask to be on the first floor.
