tripadvisorThis was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. When I arrived, the hotel’s system was down, so staff could not issue a physical key, and my digital key did not work. After waiting for the staff to open the door, I was shocked by the condition of the room. The room was filthy and run-down, with shabby furniture, a large water stain on the bedroom ceiling that appeared to have mold, a strong and unpleasant odor, and what appeared to be blood stains on the bedding. I took photos documenting the condition.I was eventually moved to another room, but unfortunately, it was not much better. At that point, it was already around 10:30 p.m. The hotel offered to cancel my stay and provide a full refund, but after a long and exhausting evening, I could not reasonably start looking for another hotel that late, so I stayed for the night.I understand that things can go wrong, but the condition of these rooms went far beyond a minor inconvenience. The rooms were poorly maintained and, in my view, unacceptable for guests. The photos I am posting speak for themselves.I would strongly recommend that management address the condition and cleanliness of these rooms before continuing to accommodate guests in them.
MoreI am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Marietta, Georgia.Unfortunately, the experience fell well below the standards I have come to expect from a Hilton property. Upon arrival, it became apparent that the hotel was undergoing major construction. The main lobby was closed, and the entrance had been relocated to a side entrance with very little direction or communication provided in advance. The temporary entry hallway created an especially poor first impression. The area was lined with hanging plastic sheeting, paper taped across the floors, and visible water leaks that had saturated portions of the paper flooring. The environment felt unfinished, unsafe, and far from the quality typically associated with the Hilton brand. The most concerning issue occurred Thursday evening around 9:30 PM when we returned to the hotel. There was no employee present at the makeshift front desk, and multiple guests were waiting to check in with no assistance available. Several guests indicated they had already been searching for an employee and waiting for nearly an hour without success. In addition, at approximately 9:45 AM the following morning, we received a notice slid under our hotel room door informing guests that the water service to all rooms would be shut off from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM that same day. This created a major issue for our family, as we were in town preparing for a graduation and needed access to showers and running water while getting ready for the event.Due to the extremely short notice and the significant inconvenience this created, we were forced to cancel the remaining nights of our stay and secure other accommodations. This resulted in additional unexpected expenses and unnecessary stress during what should have been a special family occasion.I fully understand that renovations and construction projects are sometimes necessary. However, the condition of the property, lack of staffing, limited communication, and disruption of basic hotel services were unacceptable and not reflective of the level of service and professionalism I expect from Hilton.Had I been informed in advance of the extent of the construction, operational disruptions, and planned water outage, I likely would have selected another property.
MoreHotel needs some updating. The wallpaper coming off the wall, the moldy hvac vents, the hole in the wall and the terrible drywall repair leaves a lot to desire.
MoreHotel is in need of pest control and cosmetic update. Guest was bitten by ants in the room. Lobby furniture torn. Smelly!
MoreI am so angry that I picked this hotel to stay at. Why do hotels not care AT ALL about people who drive electric cars. There are 4, yes 4 chargers here. 2 Tesla and 2 regular ones. One of the regular ones was completely broken off and the other one was broken at the connection not allowing it to connect with the car. The Tesla ones do not fit on my TESLA adapter. So, we have to spend an extra 1/2 hour tomorrow to charge because of the hotel not taking care of the chargers. Shameful! There were NO carts when we got here oh sorry we just had a large group that checked in and took the 4 that we have!!! 4 carts - 4 carts for a LARGE hotel? Shameful!!!!!! So, I had several bags not on wheels that I had to carry to my room - that were heavy- as the carts didn't come back over an hour after we got there. The food. There were only a couple of items available on the menu the order did not arrive so we had 2 items to pick from. WHAT??????? I am just dumbfounded by this, and I will never return to this hotel. Had it not been 8 at night I would have LEFT and gone somewhere else, but it was too late to do that. The guy working the front desk could have cared less that there were no working chargers and that there were NO carts. A cursory sorry was all we got. I really would like a refund of this stay - the a/c in the room is freezing - I have it turned up to 71 and it is coming out ice cold. Need I say more? I am a Hilton Silver member, and I was appalled.
