We have string instruments and all supplies for Arlington orchestra students. Affordable Beginner Strings was originally started in 1994 by Wayne Caraway, who continued to run the business out of his home for several years. In 1998, Wayne opened up a store front that is still the home of the business today. Soon after opening this permanent address, Wayne partnered with Lee Nolan. Wayne Caraway passed away in July 2011 but is still remembered by everyone who got to enjoy his smile and sense of humor. His widow, Aleta Caraway, a retired Arlington orchestra teacher, became a partner at his death. In August of 2013 she completed the full purchase of the company, enabling Lee to retire to the country as he wished. Jason, our extraordinary repair technician, is now a co-owner and here full time. in 2018 we changed our name to Arlington Strings to reflect the many ways we serve the orchestral string community of Tarrant county and surrounding areas. We offer all of the following: Rentals (Violins, Violas, & Cellos) in beginner and step-up levels, and fine quality instruments for purchase. We also have a wide selection of accessories, including music books, strings, metronomes/tuners, rosins, and more.
