Reviews
tripadvisorThis hotel was average in just about every way, which can be good if you are looking for value. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. But, they were both showing their age -- a bit of wear and tear on the furniture. And, the bathroom had sort of a weird design where it looked like the door was going to hit the sink area all the time. And, the lighting felt a bit dull. The HVAC was confusing since there was a thermostat, but you actually operated the system from the unit. And, you'd be smart to bring something to clip the blinds together if you are facing eastward. They have blackout style shades, but there's a gap that lets bright light through. The breakfast was okay, but some understaffing or similar meant that one day they ran out of coffee and no one was around to address immediately. Food quality was okay. Wasn't a fan of the choice for what was on the TV that morning. Would've preferred local news than a national outlet known for its bias.Really, what this place has going for it is proximity to Mizzou. If that's the goal and you can overlook some issues with the place -- great. If not, I'd look into some other options locally. Confusingly so, there's another Hampton Inn nearby and it might be a better option.
MoreWe stayed here for a meeting and were very impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of the operation. Despite its large size, the facility retains a friendly personal touch. Front desk is alert and responsive to guests. Rooms are spacious and clean. Location is adjacent to the. University as well as to local amenities. Meeting rooms and catering were excellent.
MoreThe proximity to the MU Health Center is great, just a 5 minute drive to the parking garage. The hot breakfast in the morning was good and the breakfast area was clean and tidy. The rooms are very much in need of updating, especially the bathrooms. And the hallway floor was very uneven under the carpet.
MoreYou can do better Hilton and Hampton Inn. Visial mold in shower (see pics) and overall just tired and run down. Hoping my breakfast experience is much better in the morning.
MoreThe room was fine, I do wish they would put night lights in the bathrooms. The breakfast was rather disappointing, Hardboiled eggs, there were small egg omelets but I think they had been frozen and then heated. No biscuits and gravy or scrambled eggs, the coffee was very strong, almost undrinkable. Very disappointing for Hampton Inn.
