Using the portmanteau of this cool town located in this great state, this exquisite Victorian hotel, built in 1909, treats guests to a lavish stay. Historic rooms decorated in a posh style provide business and leisure travelers the ultimate in refined luxury and comfort. Mammoth VIP rooms come complete with separate living areas and extra Victorian elegance. For a true stunning view of an old-fashioned hotel, definitely check out the stained glass ceiling in the mezzanine. The hotel is usually booked every night, especially in the summer, so reservations should be made well in advance.

tripadvisorFirst, bedding was ripped and there was mold in tub. Next, they closed off the entire north wing for a wedding, did not inform people with rooms on a Saturday night at 5pm. At least 40 guests were blocked from going to their rooms. I will never stay here again.
MoreI started with three stars, but added a star back solely because of Nick.Spent several nights there at $700/per (Pres Suite) plus $40/per for parking. The room and staff were great. However...We ordered Eggs Benedict/Mimosas room service (as we often do at upscale hotels) and it arrived in a paper bag in fast-food drive-thru containers. It just screamed Cheap and Cheesy. I made a comment to Nick, the guy that delivered it, and without asking he was back in ~5 minutes with plates/silverware/stemware and cloth napkins. He said he gets that a lot. Thanks Nick! Otherwise that would have been our main memory of the Boulderado. Hopefully they'll remedy that before the Sundance Film Festival in a few months. Otherwise...
MoreI stayed in a single queen room on the 2nd floor in the newer (aka renovated) section of the hotel while attending a 2-night conference at the hotel. The room was comfortable, with the A/C working fabulously, and the pillows and mattress being very cozy. The room was quiet, and I heard zero noise from the hallway. The shower worked well--great heat and water pressure. Had everything I needed, and slept well! The hotel itself is very charming, like you are stepping right into the Old West. Loved the decor and ambiance. Staff were also very friendly. Liked the walkable location of the property, as well. Enjoyed my stay!
MoreI am extremely disappointed in the way Hotel Boulderado’s upper management handles guest concerns. After experiencing an issue with a recent stay, I reached out to management in hopes of finding a fair resolution. I sent three separate emails explaining my concerns, and not one received a response.I understand that not every issue can be resolved to a guest’s satisfaction, but I do believe that every guest deserves the courtesy of a reply, especially when the concern involves a significant amount of money. For a hotel with the reputation and history of the Boulderado, I expected a much higher level of professionalism and customer service. What disappoints me most is not just the original issue, but the complete lack of communication from upper management. Ignoring a guest’s repeated attempts to reach out is simply unacceptable.Unfortunately, this experience has left me with a very negative impression of the hotel’s management.
MoreLovely hotel with the best location in Boulder. Spacious, well equipped rooms, friendly, warm and helpful front desk and a short walk to Boulder's major attractions.
