tripadvisorThis is the largest city park in Edmond located between North Santa Fe and North Kelly along West Covell Road. Mitch park includes 240 acres of leisure and recreational space. There are sports fields, public facility building where a weekend farmers market is held. Public toilets and other facilities and a couple different parking areas. The park including a Frisbee Golf Course, Skate Park and 5 miles of walking trails, many paved and in very good condition. Perfect for walkers, joggers and those with dogs. There are a handful of interesting sculptures scattered around the park and generally nice landscaping. The trees in March were blooming which made for nice morning walks on the Mitch Park Trails. Overall, this is probably the best city park for those visiting Edmond looking for trails to use for exercise. Hafer Park on 2nd Street is around half the size of Mitch Park but is another worth looking into if more conveniently located.
MoreSafe place to swing, hike, and meet to chat and picnic. Convenient to YMCA and Senior Center. We love Mitch!
MoreThis park is awesome, it has a basket ball court, a park for the littler kids, a YMCA on the property. And lots of trails for hiking.
MoreI like the walking trails. There are a lot of different paved trails or paths you can take. There are basketball courts, a skate park, ball fields, disk golf, and a playground. In the winter, you can ice skate there.
MoreOnly because some people do not take leash laws seriously they let their dogs run loose, they don't care about anyone else or their pets
