These guys leave out of Ventura Harbor which made it super easy. from the start. The schooner is super comfortable and spacious beyond its 72'. Jon & Cat, made the trip smooth, pleasant and relaxing. The food was top notch. There were zero equipment issues—which is really is something if you are unfamiliar with boating. I have never sailed in this area before, so the scenery was mesmerizing. We surfed fun waves, swam with tons of sea life, sailed around the islands, and dined under the stars. Epic trip to say the least.

Great boat and great crew... so much fun to be out on the water on this beautiful 70 ft yacht... I understand that it is available as a boatell as well for people looking for something different than a hotel or motel in the Ventura Harbor area.

The islands have always been a place on my to do list. Never before did I imagine I'd experience them on an amazing schooner like the morning star! The crew was fabulous- sweet, calm, sensible, and sophisticated. The morning star is immaculate and comfortable, but more importantly absolutely beautiful. Served a wonderful spread for breakfast and lunch, Cat and Jon always checked in to ensure the experience was the ultimate best. Anchoring along Anacapa island allowed us to experience the natural, unspoiled beauty of the islands with just enough time to swim to the shore, snorkel, and toast on deck with champagne. The islands are great to admire from the CA coast but nothing like what you'd imagine. Truly unique and extraordinary. Another treat was the variety of dolphin species we saw that wanted to interact and perform for us. The trip was timed perfectly. We departed exactly at 9 am and returned on the dot at 5 pm. Through the channel we experienced some cold wind gusts, but blankets were plentiful to stay cozy. Jon and Cat are two of the sweetest people and we will definitely choose then for our next sailing adventure!

We just got back from a fantastic trip out to the islands with Adventure Sailing Charters. The owners and crew are the best and everything about the trip was top notch. The boat, food, scenery, and general vibe can't be beat! Can't wait to go out with them again soon!
