tripadvisorI ride my bike on this trail regularly. It's awesome, especially during the week when it's nearly empty. It can get a bit crowded during nice weekends when other cyclists, runners, & walkers are also enjoying it. But its no big deal. The trail is paved the entire way. And there's a yellow line down the middle of the 10' asphalt paved road so that folks can stay on their side. During warm TX summers, the trail is amazing because it's mostly tree shaded the entire way! I give the trail a 10 out of 10 because it's so beautiful, long, well-maintained, and car-free.
MoreThis trail is paved and well maintained. It is mostly flat, with good tree coverage. It is a good options after heavy rains when other trails are flooded and muddy. The trail is also used by bikers and horse riders. I have hiked sections of the trail (overall it is over 13 miles long) during a weekday and weekend and have seen many bikers, but not a horse rider yet. There are bathroom facilities along the trail at least at Jesse Jones, Carter, and Pundt Parks.
MoreBridge over creek near Montgomery County Preserve has been gated and closed by oil/gas company preventing use of trail. Trail off Flintridge however, is great.
MoreGreat paved trail and not overly populated. It’s a gem! Runs along the creek but not so close that it gets ruined by rain and mud. Excellent greenery and plenty of shade. There are bathrooms along the route and water.
MoreOn a bright sunny afternoon last week I had the chance to visit Spring Creek Greenway. I must say that it was very nice to have a chance to walk and visit the trails and ponds. I got there after 5:00 PM and the doors were locked to the main building of the Nature Center. From a quick perusal of various signs, it seems that the Center may remain closed since the aftermath of Harvey. The pond was teeming with damsel flies and other wildlife and it was a great experience. Trail seemed well maintained and kids and cyclists were enjoying the afternoon access. Looks like a great place for a family outing. Hopefully, it will be back open next time I get a chance to visit,
