MING Studios is an international arts center that offers a residency program that grants artists from all over the globe an opportunity to come to Boise, explore and create new pieces. The residency program benefits both artist and host as each learns from the interaction between different art forms and cultural influences. Besides their residency program, MING Studios also hosts a vibrant variety of art exhibitions featuring emerging artists alongside well-established masters, and cultural programs for regional artists and the community as a whole. Dance and live music performances, poetry readings, workshops and other such events are also hosted at the MING Studios from time to time. The venue features exhibition space, workshops, studios, and a courtyard for contemplation and inspiration.

This studio will get even more popular as they are nestled in the downtown sector with new motels, high rise apartments and expanding restaurants and brew pubs. You can watch local artists craft their goods. The range is glassblowing to jewelry making with many other mediums too. Open atmosphere with easy spill over onto the sidewalk in the summers. There is a wide variety of product covering many age groups including the hard to please person on your list. Before or after your stroll through Ming Studios you will have some food and movie theater options a stone throw away.

We attended an event and the space was organized well and experts were on hand to answer questions. Friendly atmosphere.

Ming is such a great, comfortable space! I have seen music, art shows & dance here and I am constantly amazed at the variety and quality of the shows they put on. An easy walk from downtown & near Bricolage and Boise Brewing Great place for First Thursdays!

I saw an exhibition here by a Basque artist on my first day in Boise, since then it's been one of my favorite downtown places to see art and events. Definitely worth checking out.
