Max is extremely knowledgeable. He goes above and beyond with his introductory course. I got everything I expected from the class and more!

I 100% agree with the review below by Shandra. I've been climbing for about 5 years and in spending two days learning from Max I really filled in the gaps and learned rapelling, anchor building, etc the proper/most efficient way and now understand why things work/don't work. Max was patient and able to teach to everyone's learning style. He was the perfect amount of letting us figure things out on our own and stepping in to help when we were frustrated. His teaching was very technical and safety oriented but came off in a stress free and chill manner that made long days of learning fun and relaxed with the perfect mix of instruction and activity. You can tell how passionate he is through his willingness to stay late to cover the material and answering all my extra questions enthusiastically (thanks Max!). I think every level of climbing could benefit from a class with Max. I drove in from Vegas and it was totally worth it and more!

Was extremely impressed and inspired by Max. He is extremely knowledgable, very passionate, and caring. Took two one-day classes with him this past weekend and learned so much. He stayed an hour and half after class was scheduled to end each day to continue teaching. He could answer almost very question I could think of. He is attentive and goes out of the way to be a great person to learn from. He is very articulate, professional, and patient. He was responsive over email before I took this class. He prepared a detailed outline for both of the classes with a thought out itinerary. He lets students borrow his own gear for the class. Couldn’t conceive of a better teacher. Can’t overstate how pleased I am from Saano Adventures.

I attended a Rock Climbing Anchor and Rescue class with Saano Adventures, and I really liked it. The day started out with a theoretical component, and then was immediately followed with hands on experience with knots, anchors, and rescue techniques. I really liked the way that Max taught the advantages and disadvantages of various anchors --- I felt that at the end of the way I have a solid understanding of how to think about the safety of these systems. I highly recommend this class.
