The gallery areas are small and since it is summer, the Sheldon hosted their annual indoor mini-golfing event. It was enjoyable nine-holes in which each hole had a theme that connected a local artist with developing a space (and most areas had a theme that was loosely connected with the city). It was a fun time!

We had a great time with our granddaughter playing miniature golf at Golf the Galleries on a hot June afternoon. The unique nine hole golf course is both fun and a little challenging, and our 7 year old granddaughter enjoyed the different themes - Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, A trip to the moon, a pinball type contraption that was difficult but fun to try and master (we all managed to get through it), a dog park just to name a few. It wasn't crowded but there were mostly adults playing so it is someplace for all ages to enjoy. Free parking is an added plus. We can't wait to see what they come up with next year. They have been doing this for six years and every year is different. We think it is reasonably priced for an afternoon of fun.

This is a very interesting museum that also sells a lot of local and regional work. It’s an eclectic mix of graduate student work as well as regional artists, mostly for sale at reasonable prices. They also have some museum quality work that appears to rotate as they don’t have a permanent collection. Definitely a fantastic way to spend an hour when you’re seeing all of the other museums in the area.

Our family had a spectacular wedding here. Close to our great hotel (Ignatio) and lots of other attractions. Used the concert hall for the wedding, a huge and high ceiling room with stage for the dinner, and exterior reception area outside the exhibits for the reception. Very large facility for the bridal party. Roof balcony for the smokers. Great and very helpful staff. Wheelchair accessible. And guests were free to walk through the exhibits, but ours seemed far to busy eating and dancing and talking.

Lived in St Louis for long time and didn't know the Sheldon had an Art Gallery. When I visited had a great horns exhibit - even if your not a musician the display was well worth the trip. I did not realize there were so many different types of horns. Not just current horns - an evolution of horns - great history lessons on the changes of time. A conch shell - potentially the first, a pedal phone (ride and play). And best of all it was free.
