Reviews
tripadvisorCarole & I stayed at the Book Nook Inn in Lumberton 9 mi north of Beaumont for our fifth anniversary last week. It was phenomenal. The place just goes on and on. Inside the giant living room is a 2 and 1/2 story wood ceiling and it reminds me of the inside of a mountain lodge. We stayed in a separate three-story building on the top floor in the Steampunk Room. It was so cool. There were all these Steampunk relics and other period pieces. They have five rooms and every one has a different theme. There's a really nice pool, plenty of decks and a small lake. It also serves as a great wedding venue for a small to medium size wedding. Stacie and Dave are the warmest, friendliest most accommodating hosts. The breakfast is so delicious. It's surrounded by trees and we really felt close to nature. It's only 9 mi north of Baytown. If you want to get it away from it all, be in nature and be pampered, this is a place to go.The price is very reasonable.
MoreWe have stayed a couple of times and Stacie and David are wonderful hosts. Our last visit we were there 3 nights. So nice, quiet, nice size rooms and I was so relaxed. The breakfast is great. We will continue to stay with them since it is so close to our daughter. We are planning a cruise out of Galveston and will try to stay there since it is an easy 2 hour drive from the Book Nook to the Cruise Terminal.
MoreThis is such a cute bed and breakfast. I stayed here for one night with my dog as I was passing through on my way to Florida. The house is well maintained and the owners are super friendly. They also have a cute Labradoodle that my dog got to meet. We had the entire place to ourselves. The owners are there when you need them, but they pretty much stay out of your way. I booked the Deluxe King Room and it was very spacious. The bed was super comfy. The game room upstairs was filled with tons of board games and a pool table. And of course, books are everywhere. The breakfast was a little dry and lacking flavor, but I appreciated them preparing the meal earlier than usual. MoreThe Book Nook Inn was the perfect place for my daughter and son in laws wedding September 4th. Mrs. Stacie was an amazing host and helped us with the preparations for the event. The rooms were perfect and included lots of amenities including a mini fridge, keurig with different coffee options, and snacks to name just a few. The bride and her bridesmaids had a spacious room all to themselves. My wife and I stayed in the pool room which was spectacular. The wedding was outside in front of the gazebo. Seeing my daughter walk from her room across a path that lead down by a waterfall to meet me is a memory that I will never forget. It was absolutely perfect. Thank you Mrs. Stacie and everyone else associated with the Book Nook that helped make this an amazing day for my daughter and the whole family.
MoreFell in love with this beautiful home. These folks meet, greet, and accommodate. Very friendly and I must say I enjoyed converting with Mr. David, as we seemed to share some of the same passions. If you love History, times of old, and reading vintage books, then this is the place for you. Hope to return for a longer stay.
