The Spa: I love a spa day: a luxurious treatment or two, lunch and a glass of champagne and quiet time in the relaxation room with a cup of herbal time to complete the day. At the St Julian there was no option for anything but tea and the waiting/ “relaxation room” was a hallway with a row of small lounge chairs where staff continually walked through while chatting. I went into my treatment irritated and not relaxed. The treatment was fine. Overpriced (most hotel spas are) but they automatically add a 20% tip. There is really nothing to tip for. No one does anything for you after you are given the robe and shown where to wait for your treatment. I have been to several spas and was really looking forward to a relaxing afternoon but left quite disappointed. I wish I had more positive things to say but I don’t. For such a nice hotel the St Julian Spa did not match up for me.

Very, very disappointed with the Spa at St. Julien. They are overpriced & give terrible service. Do yourself a favor & go somewhere else.

My partner and I were very excited to check out the spa during our stay at the St Julien, but we were a bit disappointed in the experience. With luxury prices and amenities, we expected the same to be true for the actual massages, but it was just a very basic experience at an elevated price. My partner’s masseuse asked what areas to focus on during the massage, but didn’t actually focus on any of those areas. We loved the hotel stay, but I’d save my money on the massage if we stayed again. You can get the same massage (or better) for the same price elsewhere.

This is the best massage I have had in quite some time. It was a bit expensive (would not have considered, but received a generous birthday gift card) Laura was the best!

Upon entering, everyone was very friendly. The spa amenities themselves are underwhelming. Not bad, but nothing special. When you look forward to a relaxing spa day, you don’t imagine children in the hot tub area. And that’s exactly what we dealt with. I called the front desk because my confirmation email was this: Spa facilities are reserved for patrons 18 years of age or older. The lady that answered told me that if you are a hotel guest and with an adult that children are able to use the pool or hot tub. That is not considered part of the spa facilities. Not a four star spa facility at all! Furthermore, my robe inevitably got a little wet, so before our treatments after changing from our swimsuits, I asked an attendant there for a fresh robe and was told that there were not enough to give me another robe. So trying still to make the best of it before receiving our facial services, I took a blow dryer trying to dry my robe. Fortunately, another attendant passed by and asked if she could help me and I told her of the situation and she said I will get you another robe. So the issue was finally rectified!I will say the facials we received were very good. But I would not be going back there again thinking I was going to enjoy a relaxing day at a 4 star spa facility.
