tripadvisorAngela with the staff was excellent
MoreI stayed one night at the Baymont on Woodruff Road while attending a concert at Bon Secours Wellness Arena. I'll admit, my first impression wasn't great. The outside of the hotel looks a little rough, and there isn't an elevator, so I was skeptical when we pulled in.Fortunately, we were in Room 138 on the ground floor, so the lack of an elevator wasn't an issue. Once we got inside, I was pleasantly surprised. The king-size bed was clean and comfortable, the carpet was clean, and the room itself was well maintained. The bathroom is a bit outdated, and the shower had some staining with low water pressure, but everything was clean. Since we were only staying overnight, we didn't end up using the shower. One thing I really appreciated was how dark and quiet the room was at night. The curtains blocked the outside light well, and we didn't hear any outside noise, so we slept great. The location is convenient, with easy access off I-85, and it was only about a 20-minute drive to Bon Secours Wellness Arena.Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast—waffles, muffins, bagels, cereal, and coffee. The coffee was good, but I was disappointed there wasn't any protein option like eggs, yogurt, or sausage.Overall, if you're looking for an affordable, clean, quiet place to stay for a night or two, I'd stay here again. It exceeded my expectations.
MoreComfortable room. Decent location. Housekeeping and the manager were very good.
MoreMy stay started off on a disappointing note because the front desk agent who initially helped me was rude, unwelcoming, and gave the impression that she didn't want to be there. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, hers made the check-in experience unpleasant.Thankfully, another front desk agent named Mark completely turned things around. He was professional, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about providing excellent customer service. He was patient, answered all of my questions, and made sure everything was taken care of. His positive attitude and willingness to help made a huge difference and significantly improved my overall experience.I hope management recognizes Mark for his outstanding customer service and also addresses the inconsistency in how guests are treated. Employees like Mark are a great asset to the hotel and are the reason I would consider staying here again.Rooms are good for the price you pay.
