So this property is going through some renovations or were at least when we were there June 27th through the 30th for a 4 night stay. I have not had the greatest experience at either Comfort properties in Plano. I understand that they are making improvements but the hotel needs some better attention to detail. The pool was fairly nice but the workers who were implementing the renovations kept smoking in the back entrance and it kept filtering through the inside of the breakfast area. Breakfast could be stocked more efficiently and frequently plus better attention to cleanliness. The worst part is the bathroom. Specifically the shower. The type of bathtub they have in at least the room we were in is dangerous. As soon as I stepped in I slipped and fell out of the shower and injured my head. The front desk clerk only gave a half hearted apology and never offers to do anything for my injury. We went and purchased our own non slip bath mats for the remainder of the stay.

Rude staff and dirty rooms. Go to super 8 by Wyndham instead

I booked two nights (with no cancellation which I knew and was aware of the consequences). Had a family emergency the first and called to say I wouldn't be there the first but would be the second. Then when I showed for the second they had sold my room claiming I was a no-show and still charged me for both nights. For a week they've given me the run-around and played the name-game.

Right off the bat the front desk clerk was rude and not to be bothered by guests. I asked others in the group if they thought so and they had the same experience checking in. The room while about average in most respects had a soiled bedspread, dirty air vent and plaster falling from the ceiling in the bathroom.I have stayed here twice in the past and it is very much going downhill but haven't encountered the bad staff attitude before. No management to discuss it with and apparently hard to reach.

There are a lot of negative reviews about this place recently, but I had no real problems here. I booked a point redemption, so I really can't speak to value for money, but almost everything I did experience was pleasant.The hotel is right off the Central Expressway, and it is also very close to the Parker Road light rail station, which makes easy to get almost anywhere in the Dallas area.My room was large, and it was immaculate. Everything worked properly. The bed was comfortable, and there was good pressure in the shower.The one slight ding I would have is that they are not currently serving breakfast due to COVID. Other hotels in Texas have re-opened their buffets, and it seems chintzy for this one not to do so.This is a hotel I'll likely stay at if I'm in the north Dallas area again.
