Amigos Library Services is a nonprofit, membership-based organization that serves various libraries throughout the United States. The organization provides preservation, continuing education and vendor discount services to more than 750 libraries and cultural heritage institutions. Founded in 1974, it is an authorized distributor of BioOne, which provides access to an information resource of interrelated journals focused on the biological, ecological and environmental sciences. Amigos Library Services also operates Amigos Imaging and Preservation Service, which offers preservation information, support and training to librarians and archivists in Arizona, Arkansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. The organization additionally provides disaster planning and recovery services. Amigos Library Services is located in Dallas.
