Rick and Larry made this house come to life as they informed us about the former inhabitants. When we left we felt like we had had a visit with friends.

If you are a lover of Old Mansions or Historical Homes and always try to scope out at least one in every city, this McClendon Lebrand home is a must see. It's rare to find a home containing all the original items owned by the last owner and therefore true to it's period in time. A must see if you are in Tyler!

Delightful tour, beginning the 1850s. A gorgeous empire style piano & lovely banister. Great guides!

We enjoyed the tour and all the information. This home is well worth the time to visit. Tyler does not have a lot of things to do. I love learning about the old homes and families.

Rick & Larry, house tour guides, are phenomenal. The house is a wonderful historic landmark with beautifully preserved items and historical elements. It really felt like walking through a page of history. Our guides made the tour a fun learning experience. They know their facts, the history of the house, and the families who lived there; they made the tour an exceptional experience.
