My brother and I didn't have more than half a day in Fort Worth, so we figured a half day historical tour was our best bet and we were so happy to have booked with Dawson! His picture books took us back in time, his passion drew us into the history, and his personal connections with the history of Fort Worth helped us connect with it too. Having a guide whose family was and is a part of Fort Worth's history was so special. It's not just a history buff who got hooked on Fort Worth, it's a native telling the story of their family and hometown. A really special thing! It is A LOT of information, but it's fascinating and well presented. I didn't know anything about Fort Worth's history (besides the fort part of it) before this tour and now I know enough to have shared a little of it with a handful of people in conversations since the tour. My brother and I will always remember Dawson's tour, and how it really did make the most of our time in Fort Worth! The car was clean, the air conditioning fresh, and the tour excellent. Dawson helped us find parking for our car (we weren't staying at a hotel in Fort Worth) and dropped us off at a restaurant he recommended that was around the corner from it for us to try some chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken. I absolutely recommend his tour!

We had the pleasure of going on this tour yesterday. Dawson has lived in Fort Worth his entire life and is very passionate about Fort Worths history. My sister was born on the military base 50 years ago and hadn’t been back to Fort Worth since. It was a pleasure having Dawson show us around so my sister could experience the town she was born in. We learned so many interesting facts from Fort Worths past. Dawson made learning history fun and enjoyable.

It is clear that this man loves telling the story of his home town! He is thoroughly steeped in the history of how Fort Worth evolved over time; a veritable walking history book and talented storyteller. If you would enjoy hearing about the major events, the key influencers, and political jockeying involved in shaping Fort Worth, this is your man! This tour is well worth your time and money!

My mom and I have not stopped reminiscing about Mr. Dawson’s fabulous historical tour of Fort Worth. Not only is he a wealth of information, but he is a born storyteller who can weave the facts together in a thrilling saga that holds you at the edge of your seat. What adds even more realism to the stories is that he takes you to the spots where these events happened and he provides pictures of the people and places involved at the time. You can almost watch the stories play out before your eyes! If you truly want to feel like you have experienced the entire history of Fort Worth, from its humble beginnings as Cowtown, to its infamous rivalry with Dallas which earned it the name of “Panther City”, all the way to recent historical events which happened nearby, this is the tour you simply must take. I couldn’t recommend anything more highly!
