tripadvisorOur driver, Derek, was great. He was very knowledgeable about the American Revolution, all the neighborhoods of Boston and the restaurants. He had great recommendations on sites to see and places to eat. It was very cold and there was snow on the ground and roads but he was a true professional driver. He was very easy to communicate with and had a great personality. We went to Lexington first, then Concord and ended in Cambridge. I would highly recommend this day trip!
MoreMy three sisters and I went on a Fall Foliage Cruise of Canada and New England and one of the ports was Boston. None of us had ever been to Boston so we decided to take the Freedom Trail Private Tour. We made an easy connection with our tour guide. It was an excellent overview of the Freedom Trail and we learned a lot along the way. We saw the Boston Tea Party Museum, Bunker Hill Monument, State House, USS Constitution, Quincy Market and more. It was rushed but that's a lot to see in a short time in Boston traffic. Some of us plan to return to Boston on future trips so it gave us an idea of where we would like to spend more time in the future. One of my sisters left her camera in the SUV and the driver was very kind about meeting us at Quincy Market to bring her camera to her even though he had picked up another group. Although we booked a sedan he said the company upgraded us to an SUV at no charge so we would have more room.
MoreWe had booked two tours with Elite that would operate back to back. The first was designed to go north of the town to Lexington and Concord [Historic Day Trip from Boston]. The second was basically the local sites in Boston proper [3-Hour Boston Freedom Trail Tour]. Unfortunately, the weather was against us. It was a very cold, rainy day. So, rather than just, go to a few places, stop take a picture, run to the next place and do the same, Ali worked with us to customize our outing, as we were driving. We saw a number of places that were not on the standard itinerary and had a great time with a very nice gentleman. And, the outing turned into a far better day than we could have planned otherwise. Diane and I were both having some mobility problems at the moment, so walking in the rain on uneven pavement was not a good option. On several occasions, Ali hopped out of the car to take pictures for and of us! Ali dropped us in front of the North Church and later picked us up at the same location, so Diane only had to walk a few feet from the curb to the entrance. She would never have been able to walk from where the tour buses drop and pick up folks at the bottom of the hill. Also, we got to Fenway Park as the fans were beginning to line up for the first game of the ALCS between Boston and Houston - something you could never do with a tour bus. The next time we are in Boston we will definitely use Elite for another private tour!
MoreDerek, the owner, picked us up for our wedding with a stunner of a vehicle, upgraded because of our wedding close to Boston. He got there early, communicated effectively prior to pick up and was patient when we finished picking up our things quickly after the wedding. He got us to our Hotel in Boston at the right time, knows how to drive around the streets that can confuse those from outside the area, and we had an awesome conversation the whole time. Way more personable than literally every company I contacted for our needs. Service, Price & Style, hard to beat that combo. Thanks man! We appreciate everything!
MorePrompt, friendly, professional. Derek goes the extra mile to make travel enjoyable. Very nice car as well.
