Built by local millionaire/philanthropist Stanley Marsh III, Cadillac Ranch is easily one of Texas' most recognizable attractions. Eleven rusted, gutted-out Cadillacs are lined up and photogenically planted hood-first in the dirt. Unlike the pyramids, Stonehenge and other cultural landmarks, visitors are encouraged to bring spray paint and let loose on this monument. Every visitor to Amarillo should experience Caddy Ranch at least once.

tripadvisorFun, unique experience that is worth the stop. We were a group of 8 with ages ranging from 15 - 72 & everyone had fun painting. It's best to bring your own spray paint as there was nothing for sale when we were there but some people leave partial cans behind as we did.
MoreSuch an iconic piece of of roadside Americana! Well worth a stop. You don't really need to worry about crowds, and it's completely handicap accessible - as long as you go on a dry day. Paved road right at the entrance (which is completely covered in spray paint as well), then a hard dirt road to the cars. Sometimes there's a truck on site selling spray paint. Most people leave their unused cans there for others to use. Get BRIGHT colors so they show up better. Go have fun!
MoreMake sure you buy paint before you go. We bought white, and then painted over with pink so it showed up better. PLEASE remember to throw your paint cans away!!! There are trash cans on site. Wish they would update with new cars, but I get it! Still worth the stop!
MoreTakes only a few minutes to walk from road to the caddies. Then another couple minutes with spray paint (best to bring your own, but lots of half used cans littered around the cars).
MoreEnjoyable quick stop to see a Historic Route 66 site. Fun spray painting the cars, although would have loved to see it in its original state. Go early, gets hot!
