tripadvisorThe room and lobby were very nice. The Table 14 restaurant left a lotto be desired. The wait staff simply ignored us and it took 15 min to flag a wait staff person down to get coffee. We had to wait another 30 min for a menu. Of course we had to flag the wait staff again multiple times to get the menu. One waitress took her sweet time waiting in a few select customers until a manager came I. And she immediately sped up her process but continued to ignore us for service. This waitress has been with the restaurant for over a year and her service had never changed. When the food came out it was hot and good, but needless to say it took over an hour and half before we received our order. We were not impressed and would recommend something place else to eat. Also they didn't have a gluten free menu - beat substitution was protein or salad
MoreIf you like cold water, and blood stained mattresses then this is the hotel for you! Not only will smell cigarettes down the hallway, but you might get stoned! Never stay here, ever! Oh and avoid the gift shop! This is not the place to stay. The breakfast is the same every morning, it's like being in the movie Ground Hog Day. Avoid at all costs!
MoreFirst off some how the Raddison and Red Lion are the same?? The lobby was rehabed but that's it the hotel 8s old and shows its age, bed, bath etc. The good is the staff, kind and accommodating. The bar staff is great and needed since there isn't much in walking distance. The breakfast buffet is the same EVERY DAY this is bad if your a business traveler there for two weeks.
MoreGot an amazing rate through hotwire.com rooms were nice hotel bars very good but best of all were the most comfortable beds.I was here for over a week service was excellent had not tried in the room service so I could not rate that. The bathroom toiletries were also very good quality products
MoreI used to stay at this hotel twice a yr due to a convention held there. The food is terrible and once I got food poisoning there from a sandwich left out too long before it was sold. The food options were always very limited and I once paid near $10 for a quarter of a head of lettuce with a few bacon bits on it. One of the waitresses there is absolutely hostile for no good reason I could see and this was over multiple stays at the hotel. Generally due to staffing, the bar is closed when the restaurant is open and vice-a-versa, so there is usually only one place onsite to buy food. The small store doesn't sell sandwiches, only candy, some small bags of chips and toiletries. The convention I've attended there had 3 times a day attendees would get out of sessions have up to an hour to get food btwn session. Before 9am, btwn 1 to 2pm, 6 to 7pm and after 11pm were the only times anyone from the convention would be looking for food. These were always the same times and the convention was there so far 5 yrs. However the hotel never seemed to add more staff during the peak periods, so there wasn't a long waits for food with only a moderate number of people in the restaurant or bar. The option of going anywhere near by for food in under an hour is nearly impossible as the hotel is on the edge of a nature preserve, so there is NOTHING really nearby. The best bet however, is to travel 3 miles on the narrow (1 car either direction, so no room to turn around, and most of it is a bridge over water) aptly name, Dam Rd, and go into the DTC area (I think). That's the other thing, it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to find the direct road to the hotel. I've rode with people who live in and drive in Denver every day, I've driven there after knowing where the hotel is exactly, and I've gone with several other experienced drivers in Denver, and NO ONE can find the underpass on a frontage room the first half dozen times or the turn off on the highway. I've driven and rode in cars while looking up at or down at the hotel as we sailed by it; with no turn off or entrance into the parking lot at all. There are only a back road through a housing division and a frontage road that goes under the highway, that the hotel can be access by. There is only one turn off of the highway (taking one to the frontage road underpass) that I think one can only find going South on I-25 (and I'm always coming from the south going north on I-25) where one can find the exit for the frontage road. The rooms weren't very clean and were run down but I usually didn't spend much time in the room, so a decent bed and a shower was all I usually needed. So overall, terrible food and hard to find hotel. I would have avoided this hotel at all costs except for the convention held there twice a yr.
