What a fun place for a girls getaway (couples would like it too). Located in a lovely old neighborhood sheltered by trees and surrounded by a variety of homes, it was the perfect spot for our tour of Waco, Magnolia Farms and the Waco Mammoth National Park! Pam was a wonderful hostess and provided us with information about the town, Baylor University (she’s an alum) and abundant breakfasts! In room amenities (water, coffee, snacks, towels, soaps, lotion, etc.) were well thought out and replaced when needed. We were fortunate enough to have the carriage house with our own sitting room and kitchenette, quiet and cozy. Waco is changing rapidly, but hospitable locations like the Colcord House hopefully will be stay the same!

Friendly Innkeepers glad to share the homes history and surroundings. Lush green space and friendly kitty. Pool no longer in use next to property. Coffee maker in room with mini fridge, we did not use. Would be a comfortable resting place while touring WACO.

Pam was an absolute delight to work with! She is quick to answer questions and will make sure you have a wonderful experience. As a Baylor alum, I will choose the Colcord House over a local hotel any day. I will definitely be recommending the Colcord House to friends and family.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The owners greeted us with homemade cookies and a variety of snacks/drinks during our stay. The rooms were cozy and comfy. The breakfast was delish and filling. They meet your every need! 5*s for sure!

We only stayed one night with Rick and Pam in this very pleasant house in Waco, but more would have been welcome. Colcord House was decorated with a passion for American detail that made it into a most interesting place to stay in. The hosts are both very knowledgeable about the area and this helped us have a better time the next day. Rick even took us to the Texas Ranger Museum. Highly recommended.
