tripadvisorThe waiting area may be small, however, it's impeccably decorated and the receptionist is friendly and personable. The Spa at 21c may not be as large as other spas in the Cincinnati area, however, I found the service top notch. The salt scrub and massage were just what I needed to relax my mind and my body and rid my arms of the fish scales I inherited from dry skin. Another plus is the free Valet Service as part of the fee. Everyone I interacted with during my visit was wonderful. I have already booked my return visit for next month. Highly recommend!
MoreKudos to the spa staff, you are the best at your craft and it showed in so many ways. The feel goods.
MoreI was gifted with a night's stay at the 21c Hotel and a spa treatment of my choice. I decided on a massage and facial at the Spa; however, much to my dismay, booking less than a week before my stay only allowed for a massage as their book was completely filled. Nonetheless, I was anxiously looking forward to it. The reception area was clean and comfortable, and I was promptly taken back to the room.... and pleasantly surprised. I'm used to treatment rooms where the attendant can barely maneuver around the bed, and the bed is narrow, hard, and at times, rickety. With the happiest glee, i can tell you, not here!!! The room was large, the floors were heated, there was a closet to hang my clothes, and the best part.... there was a steam shower to enjoy after the massage!!! The bed was the best I've ever encountered during a massage. it was wide and cushy, with a warming pad under the sheets. And... it was automated! No more laying flat on your back and feeling discomfort in the small of your back. Ben, the masseuse, actually raised the bed so I was in a semi-reclined/raised position. There were warm towels on my feet, hot pads on my back, a warm roll behind my neck, and a warm compress on my eyes. Swoon! I was in massage heaven!! This massage, without question, was the BEST massage I have ever had. My only regret is that I didn't go with the 80 min massage. Next time!
MoreIf you are looking for a nice day spa in the Cincinnati area, I would highly recommend The Spa at 21C! The service was great from the moment we made reservations, when we checked in, and completed spa services. The receptionist was so nice. If you want to add a something a little extra for a couples massage, add the in-room soaking bath. The location was very convenient to Downtown Cincinnati...just a few blocks away from Great America Ball Park. I would definitely be back if we visit the Cincinnati area again.
MoreI had a massage and a pedicure at the spa today, and I was really impressed by the peacefulness of the place, the incredible deep tissue massage (one of the best I have gotten), the friendliness of the receptionist and the masseuse. I will be back for another massage for sure. I also got a pedicure, and when I booked it I didn't realize they didn't have whirlpool tubs for pedicures. So you don't get a soak, you sit on the massage bed for the pedicure and they wrap your feet in wet towels. It made for some painful moments of exfoliation without proper hydration. Not sure I would return for a pedicure, it didn't feel like a complete pedicure and it was pretty costly. THe only things I would really change are 1) somehow dim lights or get a shade for the skylight so that you have a more darkened room for massage 2) get whirlpool tubs for pedicures 3) offer a complimentary glass of prosecco or wine, etc, like most hotel spas do. 4) furnish the front room with more comfortable chairs, the chairs there are stiff and don't lend to a good first impression
