tripadvisorIf you’re high end bougie this place might not be for you. But if you a budget bougie this place is great! Friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, free breakfast of eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, waffles and more! Logans Steakhouse next door as well as a Walmart and other restaurants in a strip mall. 10 minutes too Ruby Falls and Rock City and less than 20 minutes to downtown Chatanooga’s attractions. Highly recommend plave!
MoreWe stayed here while in town for a wedding and almost didn’t because of a few bad reviews. I’m glad we gave it a chance. The hotel is an older property but our room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the water pressure was fantastic. Everything was in good working order. We were concerned about light coming in from the large window facing the parking lot but they had a roll down blackout shade that kept it nice and dark. The check in lady was very friendly too. The lobby is very nice and newly remodeled. We did not eat breakfast so can’t comment on that.
MoreThis is a motel with no interior hallways. Room outdated. Headboard had stains all over it. Lighting at mirror was terrible. Toilet didn't work properly. At least the room was quiet and dark, so we slept ok.
MoreThe hotel had a good rate. It was in a very safe area. I was impressed with it cleanliness and ease of check in. The friendliness of the I'm pretty sure manager at the front desk who was friendly and kind to everyone I saw him interact with. I'm a 65-year-old lady and I was traveling alone. I let them know that and they not only put me on the bottom level they put me right across from the office. they made it easy for me with the oxygen machine. Right up the hill is Walmart and several different restaurants. The roll down shade in the room instead of curtains is excellent. Pool open, clean and in use. All the standard amenities , coffee pot blow dryer all of those things we're in the room and they worked. The one thing I would recommend is replacement of the mattresses. Mine was way too soft. That's the only reason it's four stars instead of five.. Regardless of that I will definitely stay again.
MoreQuick summary: a comfortable, clean, quiet room stay. A caution is that this was supposed to be a handicapped room, but except for a wider room door, there would have been some issues for anyone with a mobility problem. Good breakfast. We stayed in room 211 one night on a road trip. There were two very comfortable beds. It was a quiet room. A chest of two drawers to stash your stuff. Many of the expected room amenities one expects of a BW property: microwave, fridge, coffee maker. Work desk with ergo chair. 2-drawer chest. Luggage rack. Iron/board.Admittedly, I am NOT a fan of the trend toward the separate sink area from the tub/shower toilet if there is not a nightlight to find your way when you need to use the toilet at night. The fan automatically roars on when the tub/shower light is left on. so you cannot leave the light on when you are trying to sleep with a fan roaring. In the morning, when one person is trying to sleep and the other wants to sue the sink area, the light might wake up the sleeping person. This was supposed to be a handicapped room, but it fell short for anyone with a disability in many ways. There was a bath tub, not a walk-in shower. The tub should have a vertical grab bar to get in and out of the tub. Toiletries were mounted too high for anyone sitting in a bath tub. Doors seemed wide enough for a wheel chair. To note: we are not disabled, but that was or choice at the time of booking. I know people with disabilities, and this would NOT have been an appropriate room. It would have been nice to have a siting chair in the room, not just a desk chair.Excellent housekeeping, wifi, and HVAC.Good breakfast of hot and cold items: scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, breads, cereals, juices, coffee, fresh fruit . My minor gripe at most BW breakfast: I wish the coffee was stronger. Also: some hot items (sausage, eggs) could have been hotter - they warm only lukewarm.Another minor gripe: the TV guide was a printed page you had to scan. Really? Do I have to work hard to find a printed TV guide?I would also have appreciated a sitting chair, in addition to the ergo chair at the desk. There are a number of good restaurants in an easy drive of the hotel. So - it was a clean, comfortable stay, and may do so if I was in the area again. but there is room for improvement.
