How does this place average 4 stars? Dirty, not clean, front desk staff (all I interacted over the few days) were bad (terrible attitudes). The meeting we hosted at the hotel did not have basic equipment even though it was requested and on the banquet order. Pretty disorganized and unresponsive. Bright spot the lady (Chris) who was meeting attendant had a great attitude!

I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member, and as such, I enjoy staying at different properties across the Hilton portfolio. Having not been to Buffalo for 22 years, I arbitrarily chose this property since it was along the light rail line, walkable from the Amtrak station where I would enter and leave the city, and appeared centrally located. As I always do, the process of checking in and choosing my room was trouble free. The room I chose was the room I ultimately got. I'm not there to sit in the window and admire the view, but I had a good one looking south towards the baseball stadium and parts of Lake Erie. The property appeared a bit dated, and in fact some of the doors on the Main Street side appeared to be broken and blocked off. The elevators were quick, however one was intentionally taken out of service and reserved for some group. i found an Italian place around the corner to obtain my dinner, so eating in the area was not an issue and didn't require app-based ordering and delivery. Being that I came and left by Amtrak, a car and thus parking were moot.My room was comfortable, what one would expect from an HGI. No issues with WiFi, TV, nor HVAC. Pretty good sleep overnight. With an early departure I did not worry about breakfast either, and was on my way with a healthy morning walk to the train station on Exchange Street.Although I would not cross this place off my list of places to stay in town, I would hope that some updating is in order, and meanwhile there are so many other hotels under the Hilton flag nearby that I will never lack for a place to stay on my subsequent visits.

The location is nice with walking distance to restaurant and bars, and a short walk to canal. However there was a fire alarm after midnight and we had to walk down through the stairs. There was never an explanation or apology from the hotel. I stayed four nights but room is cleaned only once. I complained the the front desk and the girl has no clue what to do or say.

Spent three days here for a hockey game, theater, and sightseeing. Great location on the light rail (free in downtown zone) near arena, theaters, restaurants. Breakfast in Grille reasonable and good. Dinner also available, along with bar Happy Hour. Basic but good menu.Rates good, but room rate for a Sunday when Bills in town 2X+, as expected. Some of the furnishings in hotel (upholstery in restaurant) could use a refresh.
