I have been to the theater a few times since they moved to their current location off 290 in Houston. It is a little tricky to find in a nice warehouse area but GPS will get you there easily. The theater is intimate and the quality of the 3 shows is very good. The tickets are extremely reasonable, and they offer a senior rate. If you want something different to do on a weekend evening, you should really consider taking in a play or two.

I have a good friend who has done community theater for years and I hadn’t seen her in over 20 years. It just so happened that when we were visiting in Houston, she was in a play, An Evening with Sherlock Holmes so we got to watch her perform. The seats are right by the stage and you feel like a part of the production. There was an intermission. Wine and beer available by donation. Everyone very friendly. Parking up close, it’s in a strip shopping center. Opens at 7 with play beginning at 8. Clean and nice but small so an intimate setting.

Maybe be I'm biased due to a friend that does a lot with them, but I find the place very charming. The people there are very real and down to earth. Seating is small and intimate. You're pretty much on stage with them in a room that doesn't appear to seat more than 100, maybe a bit fewer. If you want a non-mainstream and casual experience, it is a good time. It's mom and pop esque. No judgements. They are all round nice and quaint. Worth checking out if you want a break from pretense and pomp.
