JW Marriott Houston by the Galleria Hotel

Even though the grand opening was more than 15 years ago, this hotel has remained one of the most respected hotels in Houston. At 23 stories, the hotel towers over the Galleria Mall and offers a fabulous view of all the nearby stores and restaurants. The rooms are elegant and the service is impeccable.

I am on the road about 300 days a year. Norma is professional and courteous and did everything to make my stay enjoyable. She is a reminder of why I always choose Marriott as my home away from home. She made me feel very welcome and I will always be loyal to JW Marriott Galleria as a result of her amazing customer service.

AWEEESOMEE, experience. Big chain hotels are not very good this days, this one is worth it. Clean, nice decor and spacing, super good service, incredible breakfast. They helped us celebrate a birthday with an nice balloon and cupcakes.

The hotel is in a great location. It is a very tired property and not representative of a JW status. I was also surprised by the lack of attention from Marriott security and managers when a man entered the bar area and asked patrons for money. Several people reported the uncomfortable circumstance to employees and nothing was done for a significant amount of time. About 70% of the people in that area were being asked for money. Security needs to be revisited at this property.
